    Women were allowed to control their land. Gifts of land left by a father would remain their own. Women were now seen as legal entities.

    Declared women all rights of citizenship and responsibilities. Women granted right to vote.

    Married women began suddenly entering the workforce at a substantial rate.

    Legislation allowed women in the military.
  • Civil Rights Act of 1964

    After the Act was ammended it prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, SEX, and natural origin.

    Women were a part of history after being the 1st women to serve on a jury.
  • Abortion

    Supreme Court ruled to take away the constitutional right to abortion.
  • CROWN Act

    The House passed the CROWN Act that banned discrimination on race based hair-do's.
