In the 1830's the white people made fun of black people in the theater. This ended in the 1960's because of the Civil Rights Act. -

The early 1900's a law was passed for civil service jobs that made workers get photos taken for jobs for white people and Afrcan Americans. White people could have an easier time getting their photos taken than black people. -
The 1939 to 1945
Women doing World War Two worked in factoryets. They were layed off after the men come home. They wanted to keep working for very long time but they were forced out from working. -

The law took away discrimintion for black poeple's right to vote. -

Ended discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. It ended unequal application of voter registration requirements and racial segregation in schools, at the workplace.
It created the Equal Employment Opportunty Commission. -
