Basil II

976 BCE

His nickname was Bulgar Slayer. He was an emperor that had almost 60 years. Byzantine empire was born during his grandfather regin because he was Constantine VII. Zoe was her niece. He had a really strong personality. Took over Bulgaria when he thought with them 25 years. He expanded the empire. His brother was Constantine and her son romanus II (976-1025)

Theodora

842 BCE

She was JUstinians first wife. She was a good emperor because she was influential an powerful. Theodora had a strong regin. (842-855)

Irene of Athens

797 BCE

Fist women empress in Byzantine. She co-ruld with her son Constantine IV. She put herself in the important side of the coin. Her spouse was Leo IVand when he died she decided to rule the empire.(797-802)

Heraclius

610 BCE

He was known for putting the original language that is greek. He married 2 times. He declared himself emperor. He had 12 children. He also made a revolt against Phocas and won. He was also threaten by many countries when he was in regin. He was born in 575 (610-645)

Justinian the great

527 BCE

Justinian was a saint in the Eastern orthodox. He constructed Hagia Sophia that was a place where they got together but now is a mosque and is located in modern-day Istanbul. Justinian the great had a great government and regin with great military skills and education. He conquered western half of the empire. There was a plague that was named the Justian Plague. People where happy when he died (527-565)

Theodosius the great

379 BCE

Theodosius the great was born in 349 and died in Modern Milan. He reunited the empire. He achieved that because he had a strategic mind which helped him and his empire a lot. Another thing he did for the empire was lowered the taxes that helped the people like him, but this could lower the economy of the empire in many ways. He married Arelia form Spain.(379-457)

Constantine the great

272 BCE

Constantine was the first Byzantine emperor, but first, he was a Roman emperor. He named Byzantine Constantinople. He was the first Roman emperor and was baptized before he died. He had a great education and great military skills. He had a child named Crispus who was the son of him and Minerva, then he married Fausta which wanted all the power and made Constantine execute him. Then he executed Fausta. He made a lot of churches to forget about that. (306-363)
