When I was 11 months my first words were "mama" and "dada" -

My mom and teacher would help me practice saying and spelling my name. -

My mom made sight word cards for me to go over every night for homework. -
Small books
I started reading small paper books with my teacher -
Judy B Jones books
My teacher would read "Judy B Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus" to the class. I would also check out other Judy B Jones books at the library. -
My First Book
In 4th grade I made my own weather book about "Hurricanes" -
Daily Reading log
My teacher would assign us to keep track of our "daily reading". -
Popcorn reading
In 6th grade my reading class used to do "Popcorn reading" where a student would read the first paragraph and call on another student. I would always beg the person to call on me. -
My first interview
Before I started high school I applied to a Magnet school program which required me to be interviewed and take an exam. I was super nervous for my interview but my interviewer said I did a great job and I got accepted into the school. -
Certification speech
My senior year in high school I had to perform a speech and call out names for students to receive their certificated for the Academy of Health and Human Services.
