One year after the gold rush started, my country was very poor! Almost 1 person from every family sailed over to california to try their luck in getting rich. We we got there and started finding gold right away. So much that the canifornians got mad. Therefore started the War O' Gold. We then went to the dessert to fight. We were not fimiliar with the land. One day we were walking around and we saw them coming strait for us. We were dumb enough to lay down and duck. They shot us and we lost! -

War Of Los Mares
The War Of Los Mares is was one of the biggest wars ever known to ElDario! We were running short on supplies and we needed help! Mexico was exporting supplies to us almost 11 times a week. After awhile they got mad at us cause we were using to many supplies. So what did they have to do about it. Go to war! After 14 years of fighting on water and land, we finally won! The war of los Mares means War of the seas. -
Drought of all time
During the War of Los Mares, since we were not getting supplies from Mexico, we had a huge drought. No food, no water, and the raging sun beating down on them! All though it only lased 3 months, 1/5 of the population died! -
Sandstorm Katrana
In 1908, Sandstorm Katrana came through. No one was prepared and many, many, families died. Because they werent able to see or brethe. It lasted 5 days! -
Rango - Filmed
Guess what? Have you seen the movie Rango? Well, it was filmed in my country! Yup! Amazing! The film producers needed a dry, old west type of place. The town Dirte was the lucky winner! Go see the movie if you have a chance! And get can see a bit of my country!
