    Columbus makes the frist of the four voyages to the New World. We chose this because it is one of the first trips he made to the Americas while he was searching for a route to Asia. If he hadn't made the trips we might not be living here.

  • The Mayflower

    The Mayflower
    The Mayflower ship lands at Cape Cods, Massachusetts, with 101 colonists. Abunch of settlers are landing in America for the first time. It is important becasue they are the pilgrims and we wouldnt have met the native americans without them.

    This was the day the Declaration of Independence was written. This was the day that the laws for America were written. We think this is important to us because it was the day we got out rights written and without them we wouldnt have the freedom we do today.

    The expedition that was lead up the Missouri river by Mariwether Lewis and Clark. It introduced cultural differences. It is important because it showed people from different cultures could be friedns and without we wouldnt get along as well.

    If Lincoln was never elected we wouldn't have had somebody to fight for the rights of our slaves. We might not have had the Civil War either.

    the amrican cilvil war lasted from 1861- 1865. This is important to us because without it we might still have a lot of slaves in th esouthern states.

    This is when President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation which freed the slaves from the rebel states. Its important because today we might still have unfair rights and slaves everywhere.

    This is the amendment that outlaws slavery. Without it we would still have slaves and we might not be the United States Of America. It is a good thing this was written.

    This was the day Lincoln was shot and died the next day. To this day we still remember when Lincoln died. We chose this because after he died we needed a new president fast. It impacted our lives because he did a lot for this country and we might still have slaves.
