First Intermediate Period
Egypt splits into two halves, and who rules becomes highly debated -
Period: 2055 BCE to 1650 BCE
Middle Kingdom
Classic literature begins to be created, and the royal burial grounds move close to Memphsis -
Period: 1650 BCE to 1550 BCE
Second Intermediate Period
The horse and chariot are introduced, and the Thebans rule south Egypt -
Period: 1550 BCE to 1077 BCE
New Kingdom
Egypt is reunited, with the north and south fusing together. Warriors conquer Palestine and Syria. -
Period: 1069 BCE to 664 BCE
Third Intermediate Period
Yet again, Egypt divides into the north and the south. The Amun Priest rules Thebes, and the Libyans rule everywhere else. -
Period: 664 BCE to 332 BCE
Late Period
In the late period, Nubians conquer Egypt. Later, Egypt becomes united yet again under a dynasty, and becomes independant for a short amount of time. -
Period: 332 BCE to 395 BCE
Greco-Roman Period
The Greco-roman period began after the death of Alexander The Great. There is a massive growth in population and farming.
