Education and Career Plans

  • PLAN Test

I took the PLAN test early sophomore year. I got an average score of 22, which I could use to get in to some colleges easily. I'm shooting for 28-31 on the actual test though, so I have some improvements.
  • Period: to

    High School Education

I'm taking 3 AP and 4 Honors classes junior year, and probably 2 or 3 AP classes and 2 or 3 Honors classes senior year. AP credits will help me in college for sure.
  • College Visits

    College Visits
I want to start visiting colleges (at least in state colleges) early in my junior year. I plan on going for out of state visits later junior year, and possibly the summer before senior year. I want to have all of my in state colleges done first simply because I have plenty of time to spend a few days at those universities, and I could do that on the weekends during school. I won't have to miss school to visit these.
  • SAT/ACT Testing

    SAT/ACT Testing
I will take both the SAT and ACT late in my junior year (in around spring). I'm aiming for a 580 or above for SATS and a 28 and above for ACT.
  • Volunteer Trip

    Volunteer Trip
I'd love to travel for volunteer work before senior year. It'd be so enriching for me as a person, and colleges love seeing those kinds of trips on your application. I'd be killing 2 birds with 1 stone!
  • College Applications

    College Applications
The application process will start early senior year. By then I will have SAT/ACT scores in, and will have a smaller list of colleges I seriously want to apply to. I will spend time over the summer leading up to the app process finding scholarships to apply for at all of the schools I'm considering applying to. That way, it won't be hectic when I go to create each application, and I'll have all of my options in front of me.
  • Scholarship Applications

    Scholarship Applications
I think I'll start applying for scholarships around the same time I apply for colleges in general. I'm not sure what the protocol is for applying for scholarships though.
  • Graduation

    Graduation
  • Sorority Recruitment

    Sorority Recruitment
I definitely want to be a part of greek life at whichever univeristy I decide to attend, and recruitment starts at the beginning of fall.
  • Summer Job

    Summer Job
Like I mentioned, I plan on working over the summers in college to avoid as much debt from tuition fees as possible.
  • On-Campus Job

    On-Campus Job
Since I'll have college figured out a bit better by my sophomore year, I plan on finding a small job on campus just to have some extra money. I hope to find a job that doesn't interfere too much with my classes.
  • LSAT

    LSAT
I will take the LSAT probably junior year of undergrad school, so I can start applying to grad school to recieve my full law degree. It will take 6 months of preparation.
  • Visiting Grad Schools

    Visiting Grad Schools
I plan on visiting multiple grad schools, just as I'm visiting undergrad schools. This process will begin junior year of college. My LSAT score will come in around this time, and with those scores I'll be able to determine what graduate schools I could go to.
  • College Graduation

    College Graduation
  • Job Resumes/Applications

    Job Resumes/Applications
At this point, I'll know where I'm going for grad school, therefore I'll know where to start applying for internships/jobs. I'll start sending these applications before I reach my new city.
  • Internship/Law Focused Job

    Internship/Law Focused Job
I'll start interning/working at a sports agent firm once I've decided where I'll be attending grad school. That way once the school year comes around I won't have to quit. It'll be fairly close to whichever school I choose.
