In this time period, the lexis that were used then was everer growing, and was one of the most important development that occured in this time period. These lexems were coming from all sort of sources such as Latin and Spainish.
There were also lots of atempts to standardise the English language in terms of the spelling of difficult words. Each of them failed as it hard to standardise the language in such a way.There was a dramatic change in the way that vowels are pronuced longer. -
