    On June 29th of the year 2007 Steve Jobs took the stage to announce a new product that would take the world by storm : the iPhone. It was the first of its kind, an easily mobile device that combined the internet with all the functions of both an iPad and a landline.

    In October 2008, a concept first created by Andy Rubin came to light in the form of the T-Mobile G1. It was released by the google corporation who bought the concept for an unknown amount and their Open Handset Alliance. differing from the iPhone, it had a keyboard that would swing out and a mobile piece for all the phone's navigation buttons.

    contrary to popular belief, apple did not create Siri, instead they bought it. Siri was actually engineered by Stanford researchers Adam Cheyer, Dag Kittlaus and Tom Gruber. Siri was actually even a prototype before the iPhone was even released, the advent of the iPhone just gave the engineers direction on where they were going to go with it. A commercial version was released in February of 2010, and apple bought Siri in April of the same year for almost 300 million.
