4th Birthday
The day of my fourth birthday, my mom bought me a round, chocolate cake. On the cake was written, "Happy Birthday Claudia!" in white frosting. At the time I knew how to spell my name, but it was the first time I saw happy birthday spelled out. -
Learning English At Home
When I was five years old, my mom began teaching me how to speak and write better in English. Due to the fact that I already spoke a bit of English, this came easy to me and I was able to read and spell basic English. -
The Little Match Girl
One of the first stories I ever read was about a homeless girl who did not have shelter during winter and only had a box of matches with her. She settled in an alley and lit the matches for warmth. When she did this, she would hallucinate/dream about her dream life with her grandma. She ended up dying at the end of the book and I remember crying due to the fact that i felt sorry for her and how she passed away alone -
Skipping the Fourth Grade
When I was in the third grade, I was advanced in reading and in math so the school sat me in a fourth grade class to see if I was able to handle the work load. When they saw that I was able to, they decided to make me skip fourth grade. I went to the graduation and did not know what "Literature" meant on the diploma. -

Halloween Essay
In the sixth grade, my English teacher gave us an assignment to write a horror essay and would consider it a competition. I wrote about my friends and I getting stuck in a haunted house that was filled with serial killers. Throughout the essay/story, all the characters were slowly killed off until the last person alive set the house on fire and died in it. -
Writing a Recommendation Letter
My friend asked me to write a letter of recommendation for a student representative position on the Board of Education. I was about to sleep when I got a burst of inspiration at 2 am and wrote a page letter. It was very good in my opinion, until I reread it an dit had one grammatical error. -
AP Gov Summer assignmrnt
Halfway through the summer, my laptop stopped working and I had to use another persons laptop to complete it. I was using my older sisters, but her charger stopped working and I couldn't complete it. I had to wait until I got my school laptop and finished the assignment two minutes before the due time. -
Stranger Paper
I have to write a one page paper about a strangers behaviors in AP psychology. This assignment is expanding my observational skills and I can understand people to a different perspective. Although the assignment is fun, it is difficult to write a full page about someone who you don't know.
