This event is significant because this is when Muhammad and his followers leave for Medina from Mecca because of him insulting the Pagan Arabs. He thought they were not living correctly becasue of their beliefs in false gods. Pagan Arabs began to persecute those who believed in the same as Muhammad and they wanted to escape the harsh punishment. It also marks year one on the Islamic calendar.

Conquering Mecca

This event is important because Muhammad is able to go back to his hometown after he left for Medina. Muhammad and his followers won the war against the Bedouins in this year.

This year is significant because this is the year Muhammad died. It also started divisions after he passed away because of disagreements of who should become successor.
