Form a committee
A committee was created that included people from all walks of life, people of color, men and women from law enforcement, attorneys, educators, religious groups and ordinary people like me. -
Draft document
The attorneys and educators drafted the document to make sure it had the right meaning and grammar. -
Review draft
Their draft was shared with all the committee for them to review it and come back with comments on how to change or improve it. -
Comment/Discussions
There was a lot of discussion about the document especially from the religious groups when it came to marriage and gay rights. -
Changes/Proposals
Some people even proposed certain taxes to support the programs they liked and wanted included in the document. -
Laws review
The law enforcement group made additions to the document to make sure no one’s rights would be violated. -
Final document
A final document was reviewed and no more revisions were made. -
Vote to accept
The committee voted to accept the proposed Constitution and Bill of Rights. -
3 branches structure
There would be three branches of government just like the United States of America.
