First degree from UCO. I worked in Public Relations for five years during and after this degree. -

I returned to UCO to pursue graduate studies. -
Master of Arts in English
Final degree at UCO. My area of emphasis was Victorian literature, and I worked with Drs. Lewis, Spencer, and Macey on my Master's thesis project on Rudyard Kipling. I also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for two years. -

My daughter was born while I was writing my dissertation (not literally). -
Doctor of Philosophy in English
Finished my education at the University of Tulsa. My dissertation examined eighteenth-century women's writing in a variety of genres. I also taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and worked for Tulsa Studies in Women's Literature. -
Postdoctoral Fellow
After graduation, I served as a Fellow at TU for a year. I taught Composition using Gothic fiction, an upper-division course on Gender and the Gothic, and a British literature survey. -
Composition Course Mentor
Since 2016, I have taught Composition at Western Governors University. It is an online, competency-based institution. -
Instructor
Beginning Fall 2017, I am back at UCO as a part-time instructor. I teach the second British literature survey.
