the black death
The black death or plague spread quickly during the summer months of 1348. The rats that lived in England carried fleas which caused the disease, tthe fleas bite the rats then move onto humans passing on the plague. -
17th century smallpox treatment
this was discovered by an english doctor called Thomas Sydenham who noted that the life span of the rich was longer than the poor. This lead him to think that temporary medical treatments were harmful not helpful in a smallpox epidemic. -
Jenner's discovery
Jenner discovered that you could protect a person from smallpox by using cowpox. He experimented by giving a milkmaid who had cow pox a small dose of smallpox and she survived while nearly everyone else died. -
Cholera
The epidemic started in 1817 and was quickly spread from India to Asia then to the rest of the world. Cholera is caused by infected water or food. -
dicovery of penecilan
Alexander Flemming discovered penecilan after an experiment went wrong. Nowadays penecillan treats most diseases and is a treatment.
