The slaughtering of the Pequot tribe by the hands of Englishmen and other tribes. The Englishmen killed them to make sure they do not come back. -

Anyone who bring in a Native American scalp would be payed. This happened because the U.S. government wanted scalps after murders of English people. -

A slave revolt led by Nat Turner in Virginia. They killed about 55 to 65 white people. -

It required all slaves to return to their owners even if they were in a free state. -
Dred Scott Decision
The decision made it so that people of black African descent could not enjoy the rights given by the constitution. -
Emancipation Proclamation
Declared that all slaves shall now be free. Slaves were now able to be free people. -
13th Amendment
Abolished slavery in the U.S. -
14th Amendment
Made sure that a state can not take away a person's rights and people are able to freely enjoy their rights. -
15th Amendment
Granted African American men the right to vote in the U.S. -
Battle of Little Bighorn
A battle that Native Americans ended up winning and persuading American army men to believe that Native Americans were wild. -
Battle of Wounded Knee
A massacre that ended up with about three hundred Lakota people dead. -
Plessy vs. Ferguson
Declared that racial segregation laws did not violate the constitution as long as the facilities were equal in quality.
