    Proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was the boundary that had been marked by Britain showing where the land was divided in the Appalachian Mountain. The colonists did not appreciate the boundary because they felt as though it was a tactic Britain was using in order to keep them under their strict control.

    The Sugar Act was an act that placed an abundance of tax on sugar, and its related products, that went to the colonies from ports other than Britain's. The colonists did not like this because these products were used to make one of their highly sought-after products, rum.

    The Currency Act was an act to get rid of the colonist's form of currency, paper money. Britain wanted the colonists to only use the pound sterling. The colonists hated this act because they believed without paper currency their economic activity would fail.

    The Quartering Act forced colonists to provide shelter for the British soldiers. The colonists also were paying taxes so that these soldiers had places to stay, this made the colonists angry.

    The Boston Massacre was a riot that occurred in Britain in 1770. This riot resulted in death. The colonists started the riot, and five of them ended up dead.
