1803 First Europen discovered the Yarra River
Charle Grims , Surveyour General of NSW is believed to be the first European to explore the Yarra River and also found Yarra Falls (Dights Falls) area in 1803 reporting unfavourably on prospect of settling there. -
Melbourne Eventually setttled in 1835.
Land was sub-divided and the first public land sales. -
1839 John Dight Brought Melbbourne 88
He brought 26 acres of land along th Yarra river for 481 pounds at Port Philip land sales held in Sydney. -
1840 John Dight went to Port Philp
Told customers through the Sydney Herald that he was leaving for Port Philp. -
1841 First steamed Flour mill constructed in Melboune
The fisrt steamed flour mill constructed in Melbourne in 1841. Dight was built his water powered mill, soon after, froim bricks brought over from Tasmainia. -
1864 Dight Family abandioned the Flour Mill

1878 Edwin Treeny Brought the Land

1888 Contructions of new Mills
Flour Millers Gillespie, Aitkens and Scott operating under the name of Yarra Falls Roller Flour Mills Constructed as new mill and associated buildinggs at the site. -
1909 The Mill changed owners, Destroyed by fire
