On November 11, 1999 at 1:58 am, I was born to Steven and Tamira Pellizzari at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Ca. I was the last and youngest child of four in a large loving family. This is Piaget's Sensorimotor Stage. This event is significant because I'm about to eperience the world through my senses and behavior. -
Melissa's First Words
On a sunny August after noon I said my first words which were, "Dada." This is known as Piaget's Sensorimotor Stage. This event is significant because I'm replicating what I see around me (talking) with the use of my senses. -
First Day of School
On a warm September day, I reluctantly let go of my Moms hand screaming and attended my first day of preschool at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the same school I would stay at until the end of eighth grade. This is known as Piaget's Preoperational Stage. This event is significant because at preschool, I will learn to think logically and intuitively connect words with thoughts. -
High School Graduation
After countless years of preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school, I graduate college predatory Mercy High School in Burlingame, Cal. In the fall I will start may path on the way to a Nurse Practitioner at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Ca. This is an example of Piaget's Formal Operational Stage. This event is significant because at this stage of life, I'm learning and finding my potential. -
College Graduation
On this day I will Graduate college with plans to return to school near home at USF and get my masters. I will also be looking for a job to be working at a hospital part time.This is an example of Piaget's Formal Operational Stage. This event is significant because I'm discovering my potential and beginning to utilize it in different jobs -
Melissa Gets Married
After several years of dating the wrong people, I finally found Mr. Right. On this day we will be getting married in my elementary school church with a reception to follow. He is the love of my life and is good to my family. This exemplifies Piaget's Formal Operational Stage, Erikson's Young Adulthood Stages This event is significant because I'm learning how to effectively form close relationships and love others. -
First Child
On this day I give birth to my first child, a girl. Her name is Stevie in honor of my dad.This is Erikson's Middle Adulthood Stage. This event is significant because I'm contributing to the world around me through creating a family. -
Second Child is Born
On this day I give birth to my second and final child, a boy. His name is Lorenzo. This is known as Erikson's Middle Adulthood Stage. This event is significant because I'm contributing to the world around me through creating a family. -
Get Promoted to Head Nurse Practitioner of Pediatric Oncology at Stanford
This is a day a once dreamed about. I finally can say I achieved everything I wanted in life. I am now the head np at Stanford for Pediatric Oncology. This is an example of Piaget's Formal Operational Stage, Erikson's Middle Adulthood Stage, Kohlberg's Postconventional Morality Level. This event is significant because all of the logical and abstract reasoning I've put to use has allowed me to contribute to society and help ill children. -
My Husband Passes Away Due to Cancer
After a long and brutal fight, my Husband Vinny passes away to terminal cancer. He was and still is the love of my life. He will never be replaced. This is Erikson's Late Adulthood Stage. This event is significant because it causes me to reflect on the life I live and whether I feel satisfied. -
Death
After a long and fulfilled life, I pass away peacefully in my home due to old age. This exemplifies Erikson's Late Adulthood Stage because in my last days, I will reflect on the life I lived and contemplate the lifestyle I had and the legacy I left.
