David Hume (May 7, 1711-August 26, 1776)
David Hume wrote A Treatise of Human Nature (1739-40).Empiricism:The only source of real knowledge about the world is experience (Godfrey-Smith 2003).Hume states: It is never possible to deduce evaluative conclusions from factual premises; this has come to be known as the ‘is/ought problem’ (Helicon 2018). Hume believed that passion in a human rather than reason is what governed one’s behavior.
