First Trimester(Month One)
Women usually don't know their pregnant during the first three weeks since symptoms don't show just yet. The mom-to-be is probably expecting her period in a few days or in week or so. Your baby is microscopic, it can't be seen yet. However it is not a baby yet, it's about a 100 cells that are rapidly forming to make a baby -
Knowing if you're pregnant
Every women has a different experiance in knowing if they are pregnant or not. Some common symptoms are missing their period, tender breasts, nausea or even vomitting (at 7-9 weeks), and extreme fatigue and meal changes. During this time, the women should go see her primary care doctor or get tested for pregnancy. MOST women know they're pregnant at least 4 weeks (missing their period) -
First Trimester (Month Two)
Begin feeling the early symptoms showing pregnancy. Stop drinking alcohol or smoking (if you even are) since it'll harm the baby in the end. The baby is about the size of a tadpole and developing its body from the eyes to webbed feet and hands. -
First Trimester( Month 3)
The first trimester will be slightly uncomforable compared to the others. Usually women gain some weight (about 3-6 pounds) because of cravings. Upcoming mothers should start to develop good habits to have a healthy pregnancy and baby. Mood swings and hormones will begin to change. Hair,nails, and skin may get oilier and possibly have acne. So nearly the end of the first trimester, the baby is about the size of a peanut and the head is becoming more defined. The baby is now looking like a baby -
Second Trimester (4th Month)
Going to a doctor for a regular visit would be highly recommened. So you can hear the heartbeat of your baby. Get moderate excersize to ease constipation since it's common. But also eat healthy as before. Sleeping on your left size will help support the baby and you. Facial features and unique qualities in the baby are developing. The head is much bigger but the body is catching up. -
Second Trimester (5th Month)
Change your position slowly such as sitting up quickly will cause a headache/dizziness. Try yuor best not to get too overtired since development of the baby will take a toll on your body. Organs such as the lungs and kidney. Your baby is about 5 and a half inches and has taste buds so it can tell the difference of sweet and bitterness.It's eyes are sensitive towards light and skin is developing. -
Second Trimester (6th Month)
At this point, the mother should gain some knowledge on aftercare for when the baby is born. The baby bump or uterus will begin to show more obvious than previously. Still continues to have some cramps however morning sickness is now gone. Also at this point, the mother will gain a pound about a week. The baby is gaining some fat to keep it warm and also is responsive to sounds since it moves around alot. White blood cells are forming to help it fight off diseases and infections -
Third Trimester (7th Month)
Pain around the rib area is more common since the baby is pushing upwards. Heartburn is more common during this month. Walking around and doing normal everyday movements will be a bit different than usual since you're a bit larger. Urinating will be more often and some swelling on the ankles and legs , shortness of breath and problems sleeping at night. The baby's lung is growing and hearing is fully developed. About 16 inches from head to toe and it's eyelids are opening -
Third Trimester (8th Month)
The mother will gain about 20-28 pounds by now and the uterus is extremely large now. It has taken most of its space of your abdomen.Yellow fluids may start leaking from the breasts which is before milk comes out so the baby is fed. The uterus will harden and your pelvis will expand in preparing for birth. Back ache and pain around the rib cage will continue. The baby can hear familiar sounds, almost fills up the space in the uterus, and is practicing opening it's eyes. It won't move as often. -
Third Trimester (Ninth and Final Month)
The mother's uterus is 6 months above the naval and gained about 25-35 pounds by now. The uterus will grow bigger and should be right under the ribs. Having bursts of short energy then extremely tired is common. The baby's lungs are fully developed and growing is slowly stopping. It's head will go towards the pelvis to get ready for birth.
