The Revolution lasted from July 1789 until 1799, and resulted in the removal and eventual deaths of King Louis XVII and his family.

Russian soldiers were upset by the fact that Czar Nicholas I was taking the throne, rather than his brother Constantine, and protested against these events.

This was painted during the unification of Italy, a movement to bring together the different states in Italy. The risorgimento was led by Giuseppi Garibaldi, a general who was hailed throughout Italy for his efforts.

    This image is from a calendar published in 1876, which depicts the heroes of the Bosnian and Herzegovinan uprisings. Revolutionaries who were harshly treated by the Ottoman empire decided to fight back, and started a chain of revolutions that eventually led to the Berlin Congress and the occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Austro-Hungarian empire.
