DE Life Span Timeline

  • First 2 years- Body and Mind

    First 2 years- Body and Mind
    Co-sleep: When the baby sleeps in the same room as the parents, not in the same bed.
    For my first couple of months, I slept in my crib in my parents room. I would constantly cry, and my parents wanted to be near me so it was easier for them.

    Attachment: Lasting emotional bond that one person has with another.
    From 2-3 I always wanted to be with my mom and never wanted to leave her side. Then around 4 I always wanted to be with my dad.
  • Early Childhood- Psychosocial Development

    Active play: Rough and tumble play, wrestling, chasing, hitting.
    Around age 4-6 me and my dad would wrestle or play a little rough.

    I always thought every kid liked the same toys and would always want to play the same game as me.

    When I started playing baseball, I had to remember how to swing a bat and throw a ball because if you stop for a while, you will almost have to relearn it.

    When I was 13, I always had a dream of becoming a pro fisherman and going on tours and winning every tournament.

    Identity v. Role Confusion: Exploring their sense of self through values, beliefs, and goals, seeking to define who they are and their place in the world.
    As of right now I am going to college to pursue playing baseball and I know I want to own a business one day; I just have to figure out if I want to continue playing baseball at the next level.
