Today I saw many people dressing up as Catrina or "Skeleton Lady" She's been a fixture at Day of the Dead fiestas for a century. -
Power of Flowers
Today I learned all about flowers and how they represent the dead. Its believed that the scent of the flower will make the returning souls feel welcomed and happy. Some flowers are nube, cempasuchil and gladiolas. -
History of the day of the dead
I learned today that the day of the dead now starts on Nov 2nd of each year, although the observance begins Oct 31st or Nov 1st.
