Dressing Up - 11:00 am
We got outfits, dresses and costumes, together and paints for the parade that will be tomorrow and the next day. -
Decorating - 8:30 am
We put flowers around the graves, and alone the sides of the roads as well as candles to light the way. The flowers help the spirits get to there families to visit them. -
Cake and Food - 9:30 am
We went to the market and got breads, sugar skulls, and more so we can place them at the graves. The bones on the bread represent family members that have passed, and so they give it as an offering. -
Family and Friends - 2:00 pm
We all got together at the graves to see the kids that have passes and to celebrate what life they had. -
Gathering - 7:00 am
We went to the market to gather flowers to put on graves and in the street. -
Food - 7:00 am
We went to the market to gather foods so we can cook for our street. -
Food - 9:00 am
We put together food for our street, with help from people around us. everyone brought there own foods and helped. -
Parties - 5:00 pm
We all got together with the street, friends and family, and we all ate and celebrated the life we have and the life that those who are no longer with us had. -
Alters - 4:30
We put food on the alters as offerings to the dead, so they can eat its spirit form. They often put out the persons favorite foods along with bread and sugar skulls. -
Flowers and Food - 7:30 am
We got up and went to the market to get more flowers to hand out in the parade, we also got food to hand out candies of sorts. -
Parades - 10:00 am
We danced and sang in the parades full of people. Most people had makeup of sculls but some took it further and dressed up completely. -
Dinner - 8:00 pm
We are all tired out from the parade and parties in the past days, we gather to celebrate the adults that have past, we ate together, then we all went our separate ways to get some well needed rest. -
Outfits - 8:30 am
We went back and got our clothes together, painting our faces as well.
