    Dancing in this part of the pioneer era was usually Victorian dancing the most popular style throughout these decade. The Victorian style dance was quite poplar amongst some couples dances at balls, for example: the middle room Watlz and the Lined Shuffle.
    Many balls in England during special occasions would include group Victorian dancing & dances such as Gothic dance.
    Depending on the country or place that you lived the dances were different named. Ballgowns were a very popular dance attire

    1870 the Ballet era

    In the year 1870 modern dance had started being introduced and the musical tunes as follows. Dance such as Ballet & pointe were specifically for young ladies between the ages of 12-25 and teachers were older and more wise.The ballet and modern dance trend had started in New York City and started to grow more popular all over North America!
    Women's fashions for ballet would be long silk or cotton pink ballet gowns and hair would be in a ballet bun. Men would not participate in Ballet & Modern

    1880 back to the basics......., with a twist!

    Partnership dancing in a more modern way was coming into a very moderate fashion!
    Many balls would have once again Victorian dancing but the music and moves were and would be quite different!
    Steps and measures of the famous dance called Waltz and two step were up beat and lively and fats moving line or square dances!
    As ballet was still a-fashion the style had changed to a more moderate type to today's!

    1890-1900 the Vintage Victorian

    Dancing was quite similar to the looks of the past decade, and women who were Suffereges would raise awareness by throwing parties with lots of What we call it today, Victorian Vinatge Dancing! Ballet attire was always flesh pink and the tutu was finally starting to show in the skirts of the leotards! Men on the other hand would wear tighter fitting shoes, top hats and dressier shoes then the past eras, usually black!
