    On january 3rd 1961, The United States breaks off diplomatic relations with Cuba. Also responded to the nationalization of U.S.-owned properties. Cuba and the U.S. still had a problem.

    On november 1955, Fidel Castro sends troops to Angola to help its leftist government fight. Rebels back by south africa fight off 15 years of war in which 300,000 Cubans will fight. The died in the end of the war.

    On october 1957 cuba allows 125,000 people to travel to the United States. They hope they travel safely and hope they don’t get stopped by any americans. Some of The 125,000 people got there safely.

    Jan 1958 - Pope John Paul II makes the first papal visit to Cuba. there was no disagreement when the pope went down there. There may have been people that wanted to do something they didn’t.

    Aug-Sept 1958- More than 35,000 people leave Cuba in fragile boats, headed for the United States. Although They weren’t looking for a fight. The cubans were able to go to the U.S. but as much as they wanted to go to fight they were not aloud.

    Jan 1, 1959- Fidel Castro provisionally turns over power to brother Raul Castro after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery. Raul castro was in deep pain but he shortly healed. Shortly after that the cuban revolution ended.
