It caused many people to question their beliefs on the Church and God and is the seed to Reformation.

    Martin Luther's publication of 95 Thesis
    Martin Luther was a theologian that forever changed Christianity when he began the Protestant Reformation in Europe. Initially, Martin Luther entered the University of Erfurt in 1501, received a Master of Arts degree. On his way to becoming a lawyer until he had a life changing experience and became a monk and in 1517, penned a report against the Catholic Churches offering Indulges to forgive sins, and his "95 Thesis" expressed that sins should be forgiven depending on the person's character.

    The Council of Trent was one of the Roman Catholic Church's most important councils, a body of Catholic bishops who met over a period of 18 years to work on reforming corrupt practices with Christianity. The group upheld the fact that good works and indulgences were required to receive salvation, however indulgences were no longer allowed to be sold.
