Crossing the Delaware
On Christmas night, Washington lead 2,400 men across the river in small boats. Soldiers huddled to keep warm from the cold chilly air. On the far bank , the men truged several miles{some with no shoes} with Washington urging them on. They attacked Trenton from two sides, achieving complete surprise.
