    the French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was apart of a larger global conflict called the Seven Years War The French and British had the most territorial disputes within North America during this war. Both countries wanted access to the profitable fur trade business and the cheap fertile land west of the Appalachian Mountains. Although the British lost majority of the initial battles they ultimately won the war. The colonists were angry with the Proclamation Line of 1763 and the taxes they were forced to pay
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The British Parliament passed the Sugar Act in 1764 in order to help pay for their debt from the French and Indian War as well as to pay for the troops guarding the Proclamation Line of 1763. It forced the colonists to pay a 3 cent tax on goods like sugar, coffee, indigo and certain kinds of alcohol. The colonists were not happy with this law because they had no say in parliament. The slogan “No Taxation without Representation” became popular in the colonies.

The English Parliament passed this act to cover costs of the French and Indian War, as well as to show that they still had power over the colonies. The colonists were outraged with this act so they held public demonstrations, boycotted products and smuggled in goods. Parliament eventually decided to repeal this act because of colonial protests.

They all met in a old building and ran into each other like it was an accident so no one would have any suspicion. Then they put on old close like native americans so they can keep their identities a secret. Then they went down and dumped the tea in the harber.

    this taxation law was made by the British and this allow them to go in to homes and business without a warrant to search that home or business. The soldiers can come in and say I am hunger make me some food right now. If the soldiers that get accused of a crime have to go back to Burton and they are going to be super biased to their soldiers

    the first continental congress was a group of leaders from every colony except for gora the did not come to the first meeting the had that was a loyalty state at the time of all the acts.that was the way they were going to protest by them all coming and uniting all together. Their was George Washington, John Adams, Patrick Henry, John jay, Samuel Adams and many others restiveness. They would talk about what was going on and how they would protest they even wright a letter to the king.

    the fist battle they had their was 60 men and over 100 british troops who defeated everything in the way. There was 10 people injured and 8 died. No one knows who shot the first shot that was named the shot heard around the world. The next battle they had came at the right time they were munching home then the colonist shot at them the whole way that the muched.
