Nintendo 64
In 1997, my brother and I got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas and we created a lot of childhood memories with it. We play many of the Mario games together and would squabble over who's turn it was in single player games. We used to play one game where you were required to rotate the control stick around multiple times and we would get blisters on our palms doing this very fast. Nintendo didn't make any futures games require this to prevent kids from rolling their palms on the control stick. -
Gameboy Color
In the late 90s a very popular device to have was the Nintendo Gameboy Color. My family and friends were all very fond of the Pokemon series and all wanted to play it on the Gameboy. I remember for my Birthday one of my gifts was a turquoise gameboy and I played my Pokemon games on this for a long time. I remember having a little lamp that plugged into it so I could play my games in the dark. Gameboy color was available from 1998 to 2003 and sold over 118 million! -
Ipod Nano
Ipods were one of the biggest craze in my school in the mid 2000s. Everyone wanted one and so did I. I used to take my Ipod everywhere I went. I stopped carrying my Ipod with me when I got my first Iphone since I could upload my music onto my phone instead. The Ipod nano was first introduced in 2005 and are still available today. -
Lenovo ThinkPad
The Lenovo ThinkPad was my first laptop. I got it when I was a freshman at ODU in 2009. I despised this computer. We used to use this brands in my High School and they were some of the worst computers I had ever used. I was very displeased with it. I remember this computer all to well because it was very slow at everything. I had to take it in for repairs all the time. The one cool thing about it was that it had a finger print scanner under the keyboard. -
Macbook Pro
After one year of using the Lenovo I had to replace it. I replaced it with a 13 inch Macbook Pro and I have been using it ever since. I have been using my Macbook Pro for almost 7 years and it has been a great laptop to use at home and school. It has started to show its age after 7 years and once it stops working I would prefer to replace it with another Macbook. Macbooks have been around since 2006 and are still being made today. The new ones have a touch bar where the function keys used to be. -
Iphone 4s
In 2011 I got my very first Iphone. It was also my first smart phone. This phone made such an impact in my life because it combined my phone and mp3 player into one device. I could watch videos on it, go on the internet, play games and take pictures with this one device. It was one of my most beloved possessions and because of it I have always upgraded to the newest Iphone every 2 years. The Iphone 4s was the first Iphone to have "Siri". -
