i am an irsh man from iralnad and im considered an immagrant. my dad says im a man now and im the only one in the family that didnt need to go to school he said i could just work to get to the top. even thought i was 15 i was very tall and muscular from working with bulls and cows from my home town. when i arrived to ellise island i met a name named james sensinig he seemed a very kind man he thinks im 22 but i never told him my real age and he thinks i should work for him. he gave me a place to stay clothes and a small amount of money. -
The Work Life in NYC
the work life in New york is brutal everybody is trying to make a living and trying to find a job minimal wage. me i loved the action but my boss wanted me to build skyscrapers the problem is i never been in tall areas to risk my life befor. i moved bottom to top till we hit the limit of hights when i can move to a diffrent building and im considered the luck one because i build to the middle of skyscrapers and get mor money then anyone else. thats the only thing that my boss got going good for. -
The tradgety of my family in irland and hopes for me
when i got another promotion because my boss is calling me his pal i got a letter from my uncle tommy saying that everyone is suffering from the disease.my mother and my father past away. it was terrible for me because i was saving money to buy them a house for them to live in happieness here like i am. -
The work that pays off
my boss use to treat me like garbage . but he had a meeting alone with me and invited me to join his buisness group. he says i could be the boss now and raise money to take care of my family for many years all i need to do is to hire and fire immigrants. from seeing people die everyday from working on skyscrapers i took the offer in an istant my wife is very hapy and i finnally bought a bigger nicer home for us and my kids. -
The end of my lifes journey
I finally can be set free in peace because im set for life with my money and my kids are getting a great education and i domnt need to worrie about anything. no more apartment buildings and expired food. my nice home is great and i finally did what my mother told me to do and the haley name still lives today. it seems like it was yesterday when i first set foot on america when my wife was my bestfriend.
