Minor Offense
Initial offense: A student will be retaught the appripriate behavior if it is an acquisition error; will be provided opportunities to practice and receive feedback on the appropriate if it is a fluency error; will be provided a brief reminder of the appropriate behavior and reinforce instances of the appropriate behavior if it is a maintenance error; and will be provided practice and reinforcement in the other settings and with other people if it is a generalization error. A major offense
The student is sent to the office with an office discilne referral if it is a major offense. -
Specific and Contingent Error Correction
It is so important to make sure students understand their inappropriate behaviors and follow my directions to correct them accordingly. -
Reteach appropriate behavior
Make sure students understand the teacher's expectations, and model appropriate behavior. Give inmmediate and specific oral praises and reward the students with appropriate behaviors with tokens. -
Remind student of consequences
Students will understand what is considered as appropriate and inappropriate behavior, and receive one warining with specific statements of inappropriate behavior. -
Overcorrection
A student will be required to clean his/her own desk and all the desks of his/her group if he/she does not keep his/her desk clean or disrepects school property. -
Response Cost
A student will lose 3 points if he/she disrepects the teacher or other students;
A student will lose 2 points if he/she disruptes classroom instruction or moves around the classroom without permission;
A student will lose 1 points of he/she does not follow directions or is off task during class -
Inappropriate behavior continues
Time-out From Reinforcement: e.g. a student who keeps disturbing others after two warnings during the reading time will be removed from the rug.
A note will be sent to parents.
