During the 600s C.E. people in the Byzantine Empire began to use force to convert people to Christianity. This is a change because it is a new technique being used to convert people to Christianity. Peopel were attempting to unify their empire by having everyone believ in one religion. -

During the 700s people began to use icons in church, which is a violation of the Christian commandments. This angered a lot of people and caused divisions. This event is a change because people did not use icos before, and then they just started, which changed the way people felt about each other. -

In 1054, The East and West began to argue over bread cooked with yeast as well as the celibacy of priests. This is a change becuas it wasn't a big issue before, and caused many new divisions between the east and west Byzantine.
