    The purpose of the Tower Bridge is to reduce the road traffic and the vessel access to busy river docks, which is a part of Commercial Development in the east end of England. This is also a temporary project which started in 1887 and completed in 1894. It took five major contractors and 432 employees to complete this project. Two piers consist of 70,000 tonnes of concrete and over 11,000 tonnes of steel framework.

It is a unique project as it is one of the largest dams of that time of competition with 726 feet high and 1,244 feet across the black canyon which has an ability to provide water and electricity to 1.3 billion homes.

    It’s New Zealand's longest road tunnel. Which opened on 27th February 1964. It’s connected Christchurch with the south largest deep-water at Lyttleton.
    The tunnel cost about £2.7 million to build and initial carried an average of 2800 vehicles per day. In 1960 the MOW called for tenders to undertake the project.
    It was a 24-foot roadway of 12ft lanes and 5ft wide cycle track, 3ft pedestrian walk. The capacity of the tunnel at 2000 vehicles per hour.

    Richard Rogers Partnership proposed a building where the dealing room could expand or contract, according to the needs of the market, by connecting a number of galleries along with a central space. This building is 289ft high and has a total of 14 floors. The total cost of this project was around 75 million GBP. The project was one of its kind as the building was built to achieve a 66% increase in internal space by moving stairs, lifts, ventilation pipes outside the building.

    Hangzhou Bridge is the longest bridge in the world that is built on a sea. It is constructed on the South China Sea in China. That connects Jiaxing and Ningbo. This construction is executed by China Railway Bridge Bureau Group Co. Ltd. The main purpose of building this bridge is to reduce the traveling distance between Ningbo to Shanghai, which makes as its biggest deliverables. As it is having both start and end date it is a temporary project.

  • Cardboard Cathedral

    Cardboard Cathedral
    In the earthquake of 2011, when the main cathedral of Christchurch was damaged. A new cathedral idea was proposed where a temporary cathedral would be made mostly out of cardboard. This cardboard cathedral designed by architect “Shigeru Ban” is one of its kind as it is made mostly from cardboard. The total cost of the project was around NZ$5.9 million. The cardboard cathedral was a symbol of hope and a new start.
