The Six-Day War
Egypt moved into the Sinai region and closed off Israel's route to the red sea, so with the threat of an imminent attack Israel launched air strikes. Then soon after Israeli troops moved in and quickly defeated the Arabs. After the war Israel controlled much of its territory. -
Yom Kippur War
With the intent to regain lost territory Egypt and Syria launched an attack on Israel. But caught off guard Israel needed U.S. aid to win. -
camp David Accords
with the Egyptian president desiring peace with Israel So to insure this Pres.Jimmy Carter brought the two leaders together at the presidential retreat. Although the talks were first unsuccessful They soon reached a peace agreement
