    The Beginning for Israel
    Israel was established in 1948, but many middle eastern states didn't want to recognize it to exist. Many countries continuously attacked Israel and built up raids and terriorist attacks against them. Due to these wars Israel has more land than it did in 1948 and now many Palestinian Arabs live under Israelis control which causes more tension in the area.

    The Arab-Israeli Conflict
    The conflict between Arabs and Israelis began in 1948 has continued to present times. Between 1967-1973 tension and anger has caused war to erupt. After war Egypt and Israel signed a peace agreement to stop war against the two states. Still Palestinian Arabs in Israel remained a major problem.
  • The Six Day War

    The Six Day War
    In 1967 Egypt declared that the Un remove all troops from Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula, but soon after the Egyptian troops moved in The Sinai and closed off Israels route to the Red Sea. Israel then decided to take action before there was a large-scale Arab attack. Israeli troops moved rapidly defeating Arab forces and destroying most of Egypts, Syrias, and Jordan's airplanes with air strikes. This is known as the six day war.
  • Yom Kippur War

    Yom Kippur War
    Wanting to take back the terrorist they had lost to Israel. Egypt and Syria planned a sunrise attack against Israel in 1973. Arab troops gained in the war but Israels government ran by Golda Meir wasn't prepared so asked for the United States help. With their support Israelis forces pushed back the Egptian gains. After a few weeks both countries agreed to cease-fire.

    The Peace Agreement
    In 1977 Egyptian president Anwar Sadat made a historic declaration. Egypt wanted to make peace with Israel and stop all the war and tension against one another. To make this happen U.S president Jimmy Carter invited Sadat and Israeli prime minister to camp David where Sadat and Begin found a agreement known as the Camp David Accords. This treaty ended 30 years of tension between the two
