  • Six Day War

    Six Day War
    Israel launched air strikes against Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, destroying most of their airplanes on the ground. Israeli troops defeated Arab forces, and that is now known as the Six Day War.
  • Yom Kippur War

    Yom Kippur War
    Egypt, and Syria wanted to gain their territory back from Israel. They launched the Yom Kippur War as a surprise attack in Israel.
  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    To gain peace, U.S Presidet Jimmy Carter invited Anawar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachen Begin to Camp David a residential retreat in Maryland. There, they all reached an agreement known as Camp David Records, and found peace.
  • The First Intifada

    The First Intifada
    Tensions were building in West Bank and Gaza, where Isrrael had began building settlements. Thats when Palestinian resentment of Israeli became known as a rebellion or intifada. Where Palestinian youths battled in treet violence. That conitinued into the early 1990's.
  • Oslo Accords

    Oslo Accords
    PLO leader Yassar Arafat and Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin negotiated the Oslo Records. It was meant to end the violence that began in 1987.
  • Second Intifada Begins

    Second Intifada Begins
    In this Intifada, Palestinian youths were joined by Palestinian security forces with guns. Hamas sent suicide bombers into Israel to attack civilians, Isrealis countered by sending troops backed by tamks, fire jets, and helicopter gunships.
  • Yasser Arafat Dies

    Yasser Arafat Dies
    Yasser Arafat died and was succeeded by Mahmound Abbas. That same year Gaza was turned over to Palestinains.
