Feb 22, 1950

Engineering Research Associates of Minneapolis built the ERA 1101, the first commercially produced computer. I chose this because this is a very importaint turn for big companys.

precurser

Jun 23, 1960

The precursor to the minicomputer, DEC´s PDP-1 sold for $120,000. I chose this event because a micro computer was also a big turn for medium size companys.

first mouse

Jun 1, 1964

The first mouse was invented, nicknamed the mouse because the cord came out of the end. I chose this because this little device makes computers much easier to ues.

microprosser

Feb 22, 1970

First computer microprocesser was invented in 1970. I chose this because even know it is micro sized object it made a huge turn for computers because this made it run faster.

Consumer computer

The first consumer computers came out in 1974, they were named the scelbi, mark-8 altair, and the IBM 5100. I chose this event because this pretty much started lap tops.

word processers

In 1979 the word processer was invented. I chose this because this was just a step up from the first consumer computer.

computer war

Microsoft begins the freindly war against apple. I chose this because these two companys are still at friendly war with each other.

Video toaster was introduced by NewTek. video toaster was a video editing and production system. I chose this because I really like video editing but mostly because this really helped start the movie editing world.
