Colossus
The Colossus was developed for the British to crack the German codes. Created by Tommy Flowers, but with help of Harry Fensom, Allen Coombs, Sid Broadhurst, and Bill Chandler. Once the War was over, The Colossus was taken apart and the parts were given back to the Post Office. Only 2 remain, but they were kept secret until 1970. -
Harvard Mark-1
This was used in the war effort during the last par World War II. It’s an electro-mechanical calculator and was used for general purposes. Harvard Mark-1 was presented by Howard Aiken and a engineer, Thomas Watson Sr. agreed to it and its fund for it. -
