    Floppy Disk Created
    Sony created the first floppy drive which was "3.5 inches" (CHM, line 1, 2022). This invention helped computer owners to load operating systems and other software programs directly to their own personal computers (CHM, 2022). Reference:

    CD-ROM
    Sony (once again) and Phillips developed a way to store pre-recorded data with a disc that could "hold 550 megabytes" (CHM, line 1, 2022). Changed the way we were able to listen to music via CDs. This also changed the standard by which any computer essentially could access a lot of data/information (CHM, 2022). Reference:

    Steve Jobs - Apple Introduces the Macintosh
    The Macintosh computer was first introduced in 1984 (CHM, 2022). This was the first computer that successfully was able to utilize a mouse (CHM, 2022). This was ground-breaking to the public as it became accessible to anyone willing to purchase it for over $2500 who could own it and have it in their own home (CHM, line 6, 2022). Reference:
