Difference engine
The difference engine was the first mechanical calculator and was creaated by a English gentleman called Charles Babbage. It was able to compute several sets of numbers and make hard copies of them. -
Analytical engine engine
The analytical engine engine had Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), integrated memory control, punch cards, and basic flow. It is the first geneal computer concept. However due to funding issues it was never built while Charles Babbage was alive. Luckily Henry babbage Charles youngest son was able to complete the analytical engine engine. -
Havard mark I
The Havard mark I was presented in Havard university 1944. It is a large programmable-controlled calculating machine, which provided importent calculations for the U.S navy. Grace Hopper was it's programmer. -
First digital computer
In Japan a man called Hideo Yamachito created the first digital computer. This allowed more data to be read more easily. -
e-mail
The first e-mail was sent by Ray Tomlinson in 1971. By 1996, more electronic mail was being sent than postal mail. -

Pong the first video game is released. This made computers alot more populer. -
portable computer IBM 5100
The IBM 5100 is the first portable computer released in 1975. It had a five inch CRT display, tape drive, 1.9MHz PALM processor, and 64KB of RAM. It weighed 55 pounds. -

Bill Gates and Paul Allen write the worlds first computer languge program for personal computers. A form of BASIC designed for the Altair. -
Apple
Steve Wozniak designs the first Apple.It contained a 6502 8-bit processor and 4 kb of memory, which was expandable to 8 or 48 kb using expansion cards. later Wozniak and Steve Jobs co-found Apple Computers on April Fools day. -
HTML
Created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990, short for hypertext markup language. It is a language used to create electronic documents, especially pages on the World Wide Web. Without HTML a browser would not know how to format a page and would only display plain text with no formatting that contained no links. -

The world wibe web was launched on 1991. Information can now be passed around the world in less than seconds. Tim Berners-Lee, a scientist develops the Web as a research tool. -
