First Freely Programable Computer
Konrad Zuse created the first freely programable computer in 1936. This is an important event because this is really the first modern computer even though it is still a dinosaur. -
Spacewar
The first video game, Spacewar is inveted by Steve Russel. This is the important because of the large role of videogames in our life. -
The Mouse Is Created
The first computer mouse was invented by Douglas Engelbart. This is an amazing advancement in computers because it meant that we could control the screen rather than type in commands. -
Ethernet Computer Networking
Ethernet Computer Networking was invented by Robert Metcalfe. This important because this is the first step towards the internet. -
The First Consumer Computers
Scelbi & Mark-8 Altair & IBM 5100 Computers were invented. This is exetremly important because this is the first consumer computer which is a big deal since Im writing this on a consumer computer. -
IBM creates the IBM Home PC
This is an important event because this was the first computer meant for home use. -
The Apple Lisa Computer
Apple made the Lisa in 1983. This event is important because it was the first computer to have a gui (graphic user interface) -
The Macintosh
Apple created the Macintosh computer in 1984. This event is important because it is the first computer that had gui that was designed to be used at home. -
The World Wide Web
This is the most important invetion in my mind. This invention connects us to the entire world and the possiblity of infinite knowledge (and wikipedias lies). -
Google
In 1998 Google was inveted. This is a highly important event because whenever we use the internet we use google. If you think of computers google comes to mind.
