John Von Neumann
John Von Neumann was a mathematican and he worked at Princeton ' s Institute of Advanced Study . One of his greatest inventions was that he would store the Primary Memory in the computer and the computer would get the information from itself . This was a great help because it solved problems quicker and eaiser .

Dr . Grace Murray Hopper
Dr . Grace Murray Hopper discovered the first computer bug . This is how the computer bug came about . One day when the computer gave wrong anwsers , Dr . Grace looked closer , and she found a moth in one of the vacuum tubes . After she took it out the anwsers were correct . Now , when people are having problems with their computer they call it the computer bug .

ENIAC
The ENIAC which contained lots of vacuum tubes , was built in 1946 by two men named John Presper Eckert and John Mauchly . Before 1970 this was the first computer . The reason that it is the second computer now , is one night they went to dinner with John Vincent and discussed their plans . Later , the ENIAC inventors took John Vincent ' s plans .

Vacuum tubes ( first Generation of Computers )
Vacuum tubes devolped between 1951 - 1958 . These vacuum tubes were used in radios , computers , and the ENIAC . The problem was , the vacuum tubes would get hot , unreiable , they would burn out , and they were very big .
