    The first intergrated circuit is created. I chose this because we learned about Silicon chips and how they help the CPU operate withing a computer.

  • The Computer Mouse

    Invented by Dougals Engelbart. It was nicknamed a "Mouse" because of the cord that came out the end that looked like a tail. I chose this because it was one of the first input devices invented for a computer and made the whole opperating process simpilar.

    IBM creates the frst floppy disk. I chose ths because it shows how people are starting to invent secondary storage devices for computer information.

    Intel introduces the world's first available dynamic RAM ( random-access memory) chip and the first microprocessor, the Intel 4004. I chose this because RAM was the first storage device that aloud computers to remember and run programs.

    Robert Metcalfe creates the Ethernet, a local-area network (LAN) protocol. I chose this because it was the first coded program that started as the base of the world wide web (internet).

    The Nintendo Entertainment System makes its debut. I chose this event because it shows that computers could be used for more than just storing and processing information, but instead for entertainment and involment.

    Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau propose a 'hypertext' system starting the modern Internet. This event is one of the most important in history because it was the start of one of the most world wide used application in the world.

    Google is founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page on September 7, 1998. I chose this event because it is one of the most popularly used web-based storage system that allows people to search and opperate the world wide web.
