Konrad Zuse finishes the Z3 computer
The Z3 was an early computer built by Konrad Zuse in 1941.
I chose this event because it was one of the first computer built in the 1940s. They did not have much technology back then.. This was successful. -
Engladns first commercial computer
Englands first computer was built in 1951 & after they made their computer work & run correctly then contiinued making computers for data processsing systems.
I chose this because I thought it was a great thing that they continued to make computers after just one try. -
IBMs 7000 Mainframes
IBMs 7000 Mainframes were the companys first transistorized computers. These were fast & worked very well.
I chose this because I thought it was cool that it was their first computer & it was already working correctly & it was also fast. -
Data general corpooration
This started a group of engineers that left with 32 Kiilobites of memory for $8,000.
I chose this because its interesting how they left with all of that memory & it was worth so much. -
The TV typewriter
The TV typewriter was designed by Don Lanster. This device could keep & store 512 as 16 lines with 32 characters each. A 90 minute tape would be about 100 pages of text.
I chose this because this is how we are pretty much watching TV.. Or back in the day.. This is how they were watching TV.. A typewriter was involved.. Interesting. -
The computer kit
The January edition of popular electronics featured the computer kit. The kit sold & many used it. This indicated the MITS company.
I chose this because I had no idea they would sell part or a kit for a computer.. I thought that was cool.. Build your own computer. -
The commodore PET
The commodore PET which means Personal Electronic Transactor was a personal thing that came in 1977, & had a small built in keyboard.
I chose this because this looked like a calculator & it was a computer! -
The Amiga 1000
The Amiga 1000 was released in 1985 & sold for $1,295 & this had audio, 7video capabilites.. These capabilites were better & higher than others in most computers.
I chose this because I thought 1,295 was a lot for one computer that can only do half of what we can do now. -
Daniel hills Thinking machine coorporation
Daniel Hills developed this device that could help other computers & could do a lot more & help with things. This contained of 65, 536 processors & could complete several billion operations per second.
I chose this because I thought this was great.. This machine works very fast. -
Apple co counder Steve Jobs, NeXT
Steve jobs, Left his own business to create something new. He created NeXT & it was pretty much the first personal computer that actually worked well.. this contained an optical storage disk, a built-in digital signal processor that allowed voice recognition, and object-oriented languages to simplify. He called this.. The NeXT
I chose this event because this was pretty much the start of computers.. He created a computer that actually worked.
