Fantasmagorie
Emile Cohl creates what is considered the first film to be animated. Fantasmagorie mimics a chalk drawing style but in reality is only a negative of the intial drawings.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Walt Disneys version of the brother Grimm fairy tale is the first and very successful English full technicolor animated movie to be released. Snow White made a grandoise 8 million, more than any other film during the great depression solidifying a foothold in pop culture.

William Fetter and Computer Graphics
While workiing at Boeing, William Fetter was in charge of new techniques within computing. The intial birth of the term computer graphics came from Fetter and trying to explain what he was doing at the time. Fetter would go onto make the first generated scenes of views in a cockpit.

World Fair
What the World fair of 1964 did was introduce many new concepts into modern society, whether it be the Ford Mustang or Walt Disneys small world. However the most profound would be the introduction of peronal computing to the population, granted it's nothing like how computers are today it was a small step towards our modern society.

Toy Story
Pixars' marvel of computer science marks the first feature -length movie to be fully made within a digital medium. Toy story gained multiple Annie awards (http://www.pixar.com/features_films/TOY-STORY) as well as making 29 million in the opening weekend. Toy Story opened the oppurunity for more creative outlets in the industry as Pixar showed that the venture was possible.
