Treaty of Paris 1763
This was the treaty that was signed by Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and John Jay in Feburary of 1763. This tretated brought an end to the French and Indian War as Britian was able to recognize America as its own independent nation. Britiain agreed to remove all of their troops from America, as the United States agreed to pay back the remaining debt that they owed to the British. New borders were established in America from the Great Lakes to Florida and from the Atlantic to the Missisipi River -

Pontiac's Rebellion
This war was named after Pontiac, the cheif of the Ottawa tribe that was mainly involved in this war. This war that took place was fought between the Indians of the Great lakes reigon and the British as after the French and Indian War, the native Amrican tribes in America were unhappy with the way that they were being treated by British officials. A peice treaty brought an end to this rebellion on July 25, 1763 as Pontiac signed the peace treaty himself. -
Proclimation of 1763
This proclimation was issued by the British Board of Trade, specifically by King Geogre III, as it was established in order to acheive goals that were se due to the french and Indian War. The goals were to establish governments for the terriotirie the British aquired duing the war, to create peace between the remaining indians and colonists in America, and keep colonists on the coast in order to ensure successful trade and taxation of the colonists. -
Sugar Act
The sugar act was representative of an American revenue act that was placed on colonists in America in 1764, as this act proceeded the Molasses Act that was placed on the colonists in 1733. This act was placed by British Parliment in order to raise funds in great Britian's time of economic depression. This act heavily taxed British colonists in America for sugar and molasses products. This act concered many colonists and thus war a factor that led to the Revolutionary War. -
Stamp Act
This Stamp Act was issued on Feburary 6, 1765 and reffers to the taxt that was placed on British colonists in America as it required all printed materials in the reigion in America in which British colonists inhabited to be standardized by the London-made stamp paper with embosed revenue stamps. These stamps were paid for using british currency, as this new stamp tax funded the war debt that Britian was in at this time. British officials beleived colonists should pay for most of this war debt. -
Quartering Act
This act was passed in the 18th century by British parliement as it required housing and other living accomidations and ammneities to be provided to British troops that were stationed in American colonies. The reason this act was establshed was to prevent problemsthat were experienced during the Seven Year's War from occuring again. This act resulted in tension betwen American colonies and the British Parliment. -
Declaratory Act
This act was established and passed when the stamp act was reppealed. This act binded the American colonies to the British parlimet as this act stated that all laws passed by the british parliment that applied to Great britian also applied to the American colonies as these laws would be binding to the colonies. This declatory act was also the Irish Declatory act that was used in 1719 by Ireland. -

Townshend Acts
The Townshend act to place over a period of one month as these wre a series of acts placed on goods in American colonies as these acts were named after Charles Townshend, who was the British Chancellor of the Exchequer. These acts placed taxes on goods including glass, leads, paint, paper, and tea. The colonists were furious with these acts as they responded similiary to these acts as they did to the Stamp and Sugar acts as all taxes on the goods were repealed exept for the tax on tea. -
Tea Act
This act was not put into place to tax colonists. It was put into place to prop up the British East India Company that was floundering finacially and burdened with 8 million pounds of unsold tea. This act angere the colonists becuase it made them aware that they had no control of their government or ability to maintain their enconomy. -
Boston Tea Party
In the harbor in Boston, Bostonian colonists dressed up as Indians and over the course of an hour dumped about 4 million dollars worth of tea into the harbor to protest against the Tea Acts -
Intolerable Acts
British response to the Boston Tea Party.

12 of the 13 colonies send representatives to discuss the Intolerable Acts. This is the 1st time colonies unite in one government action
