Columbus discovered America
Christopher Columbis didn't know he had discovered a new continent when he landed in America. He called the natives "Indians" for he thought he had found a new trade route to India. -
Roanoke Founded
This colony was also known as "The Lost Colony" because of its mysterious disappearance. When new settlers came in and old ones returned, the whole colony was found abandoned. The only reamins they found were two graves and the word "Croatoan" (the name of a local Indian tribe) carved into a post of the fort. -
