The Fall of the Han Dynasty
The collapse of the Han Dynasty was the result of many causes. With a growing population, increased wealth, resultant financial difficulties, complex political institutions and massive corruption the Han Dynasty fell like many other empires of its time. There were also many wars ensuing at that time and China was not a place of peace. The Han Dynasty was also struggling for power over most of China and conquering land became very difficult. This signified the end of the Han Dynasty. -

The Fall of Official Paganism
Throughout the years, Christianity has been spreading across Rome. Since Chrisitanity is the newly celebrated religion, Paganism is no longer recognized as much among the people. A Roman emperor by the name of Julian the Apostate (361- 363) tries and fails to reverse the religious trends to Christianity but fails when he dies in the East battling Parthians. -

Fall of the Emperor of Rome
Romulus Augustulus is appointed to the position of emperor by his father,Orestes, and serves for a small term of ten months. This last western emperor is defeated by a barbarian general by the name of Odoacer who then rules all of Italy. This event signifies the true end of the Roman Empire. -
Roman Empire east-west split
Diocletian became the emperor of Rome and realized that it was too big for one person to effectively rule. He decided to change it by separating Rome into two, western and eastern halfs, and having each half governed by one man. His decision was to go to the eastern side for better trade and more wealth. A military officer,Maximian, was chosen to rule the western half. In 306 A.D. a civil war occured in both the western and eastern parts of Rome. By 324 both halfs were controlled by constantine. -
Battle of Adrianople
This battle was fought between the Roman army and the Goths. It took place close to Adrianople, which is now modern day Edirne, Turkey. Before the Huns invaded land near Thrace, valens, the Romans' Eastern emperor let the visigoths settle there. The Goths were the winners of the Adrianople battle. -
The Battle of Han River
This battle was fought between the two warlords Cao Cao and Liu Bei. This battle was during the prelude of the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. The battle was the last major engagement of the Hanzhong Campaign in which Lui Bei emerged victorious and declared himself king of all Hanzhong. After the battle, Liu Bei celebrated and parties went on all through the night.
